Rules for Acquiring Free Agents
Each week beginning April 21, 2009, Fanball will list ten baseball players that are available as free agents for that week. The weekly lists of free agents are available by calling 1-314-991-5064 or via the Internet at http://diamondchallenge.fanball.com. Listed will be 1 catcher, 1 first baseman, 1 second baseman, 1 third baseman, 1 shortstop, 2 outfielders, 2 starting pitchers, and 1 relief pitcher. These players will be selected by Fanball each week. During the course of the season, a team owner may select 4 free agents to be placed on the team roster at no charge. The free agent is added to either the starting line-up or taxi squad, and a player from the corresponding roster must be dropped.
These moves are free and are limited to 4 during the season. The ten free agents listed only are available on the dates specified on the list.
Free Agent Availability For The All-Star Break: For the week of July 13-19, the free agent list dated July 7-13, will be available until the special deadline at 12 NOON CT on Thursday, July 16. In addition, the free agent list dated July 14-20 also will be available for this deadline.
